This highly interactive training workshop is customized by LOA CENTRE SG, from principles contained within Six Seconds (www.sixseconds.org) internationally tried and tested model of Emotional Intelligence. The Six Seconds model of Emotional Intelligence includes three macro areas, or ‘pursuits’, with eight underlying competencies. The key macro areas are:

  1. Know Yourself
  2. Choose Yourself
  3. Give Yourself

Under the 3 pursuits are 8 specific, learnable, measurable competencies.

  • Pursuit 1 – Know Yourself (Self Awareness) – The WHAT
    • Recognising your patterns of responses in terms of how you think and therefore feel. This knowledge will help you understand yourself better and as to what “makes you tick”.

  • Pursuit 3 – Give Yourself (Self Direction) – The WHY

Profiling tool (Optional)

All participants can also be profiled using the Six Seconds Emotional Intelligence Assessment (SEI™) as pre-work to the workshop. The SEI is unique because it is action-oriented, practical, and easy to apply to a range of situations, international, well researched, and powerful. The SEI includes two questionnaires, an assessment of current “success factors” (e.g., effectiveness and relationships) and the EQ measure; this puts EQ in the context of important work & life outcomes, providing the “so what?” to make EQ relevant. Therefore, at the beginning of the workshop each individual participant will be aware of the competencies that could potentially be developed for him/her.

The same tool may be applied 3 to 6 months later to measure advances made in competencies that have been identified for individual to work on
